Synopsis:

Biting humor and an electric performance by Al Pacino highlight this drama based on an actual 1972 Brooklyn bank robbery. Pacino is the befuddled ?brains? of the gang, whose planned 10-minute caper turns into a 12-hour circus, complete with cops, crowds and TV coverage. To top it all, he?s married to a chubby shrill woman with two kids, and has a possessive mother. An Oscar-winner for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture, ?the movie has an irreverent, quirky sense of humor.? (Roger Ebert Review).
