Synopsis:

Easy Rawlins (Denzel Washington) has just moved to Los Angeles to live the American Dream. But just as his house payment is due, he gets fired from his job. Broke and desperate, Rawlins is approached by DeWitt Albright (Tom Sizemore), a man with a plan to get Easy the money he needs. All Easy has to do is locate the mysterious Daphne Monet (Jennifer Beals), but the journey to find her leads Easy deeper and deeper into the shadows in this city of bright lights.
