Ana (Polley, The Secret Life Of Words, Don't Come Knockin') is a nurse who wakes up one day to find the world changed. An unknown plague has caused corpses to come alive and turn into cannibalistic zombies. With her husband killed by one of the zombies and himself turned into one as well, Anna flees the nightmarish carnage in her neighborhood. She is rescued by cop Kenneth (Golden Globe® winner Rhames, Kojak, Back In The Day) and together they seek refuge in the town's shopping mall. Finding other survivors of the zombies' relentless attacks, they try to defend themselves from the zombies. But the zombies are ravenous for flesh, and will stop at nothing to rip apart the last few survivors.
