| | Curse of the Werewolf (1961)Synopsis: A crazed beggar in jail rapes the kindly maid who has fed him for several years. A rich man, Don Alfredo Corledo finds the hapless girl heavily pregnant and wandering in the woods. He has pity on her and takes her home. She gives birth on Christmas Day, fulfilling a curse: an unwanted child born on the hour of the Lord's birth is an insult to heaven. At the moment the baby is born, a wolf is heard howling in the nearby woods. The maid takes one look at her baby and dies of shock. The baby is named Leon and is raised by the Don, and he reaches adulthood. The grown up Leon (Reed, Gladiator, Oliver!) finds work in a nearby vineyard and falls in love with the vineyard owner's daughter Cristina. However, Leon is finding it increasingly difficult to curb his thirst for blood and hide his evil alter ego. He goes on killing anyone and anything unlucky enough to cross his path at night.
