Crime of the Century

Synopsis:

Aviation pioneer Charles Lindbergh was the first man to fly non-stop across the Atlantic, beloved by both the media and the public. When his infant son is kidnapped and murdered, the press bays for blood and answers. They find them in Bruno Hauptmann, who dies in the electric chair for the crime in 1936. But was he really guilty? Did the media frenzy and anti-German sentiment rob an innocent man of his reputation and his life? This HBO original movie is a shattering account of what may have been one of the most tragic miscarriages of justice ever.
