Synopsis:

In a romantic pairing so powerful it could bring heaven and earth together, Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan risk everything for love in this L.A. update of Wim Wenders's classic WINGS OF DESIRE. Angels roam the Earth, listening to people's thoughts, celebrating their lives and deaths, and comforting those in need, but they can't interfere in their fates—until now. Seth (Oscar？-winner Nicolas Cage) falls in love with Dr. Maggie Rice (Meg Ryan), a pragmatic heart surgeon whose is deeply shaken by accidental death of her patient, and yearns to shed his celestial wings for the most everyday mortal experiences: to taste a pear, to cry, to feel the touch of a hand and to fall in love.
