In honor of Variety magazine's 100th birthday, HBO Documentary Films presents this celebration of the movies -both successes and flops - and their inexorable hold on the public's imagination. Through exclusive interviews with over two dozen top names in Hollywood as well as clips and montages assembled from dozens of notable Hollywood films-from mega-hits like The Godfather and Jaws to duds such as The Clan of the Cave Bear and Howard the Duck - this picture explores the razor-thin line that separates the blockbusters from the busts.
