Synopsis:

If "Scarface" and "Traffic" are the class bookends of the last two decades in drug cinema, then "Blow" has got to be the hot favorite among this millennium's contenders. Smart, sexy, and engaging, this Ted Demme (Beautiful Girls) film has the word 'classic' written all over it.

This true-to-life drama chronicles the story of a man who is forced to face the consequences of his reckless ways. After growing up watching his father, Fred (Liotta, Hannibal) get nowhere in life, George Jung (Depp, From Hel, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl) decides to move to sunny California to make a name for himself.

There, he meets a free spirited young woman, Barbara (Franka Potente, Run Lola Run) who introduces him to the world of pot smoking and cocaine trafficking. George soon becomes a successful drug dealer. Eventually, he finds it hard to continue living his high lifestyle after repeated run-ins with the law, being double-crossed by former acquaintances, and most importantly becoming estranged from his wife (Cruz, Vanilla Sky, Gothika)and daughter.

He starts having second thoughts about being in the drug business altogether. But will life offer him a second chance?
