Big Fish

Synopsis:

No less than master of the surreal, Tim Burton brings his directorial magic to this enchanting, fantasy-filled adventure. Reporter Will Bloom (Crudup, Stage Beauty, Charlotte Gray) hasn't spoken to his father Ed (Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award winner Finney, My Uncle Silas II, The Gathering Storm) in years.

But Ed is dying of cancer, and as Will attempts to reconnect with his father in his last days, Will realizes he can only discover the truth about him through the recollections of his mother Sandra (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Lange, Don't Come Knocking, Broken Flowers), and the magical and mysterious tales that his father spins.

Ed tells Will about his days as a young man (the young Ed is played by McGregor, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, Young Adam), of how he met and fell in love with young Sandra (Lohman, Where The Truth Lies, Matchstick Men) and of the many seemingly mythical creatures, unforgettable places, and amazing travels that he encountered around the world and in the deep South.
