A Soldier's Story

Synopsis:

A black sergeant is killed at night while on his way back to base camp. Who murdered Sergeant Waters?

Officers at a World War II Army base in Louisiana think they have the answer--- the predominantly white community sourrounding the base is suspect. One man is not so sure.

African-American officer Capt. Davenport is the military attorney sent from Washington to investigate. He uncovers a hotbed of hatred and prejudice in surprising quarters as the mystery unravels in this movie based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play.
