A Simple Wish

Synopsis:

Little Anabel Greening is desperate. It's bad enough that her older brother treats her like a baby.

Now, her widowed father, a singer-actor who supports the family by driving a cab in Central Park, is about to audition for the lead role in a big Broadway musical, and if he doesn't get the part, the entire family will have to move to Nebraska.

What could be worse for a seven-year-old New Yorker? Anabel clearly needs a little help, but the fairy godmother, er, godfather she ends up getting is the incompetent Murray (Short, Jiminy Glick In Lalawood).
