Synopsis:

Freddy (Englund, Nobody Knows Anything) is a hulking stranger who inhabits high schoolers' dreams. He is all too eager to slice them up with the knifefingers he sports in place of fingernails. The next teen to fall asleep is, well, next.

Plucky student Nancy struggles to avoid the brutal fate of her friends. As she investigates the origins of Freddy, what she finds out could rid them of the gruesome specter of Freddy --- or unleash his power over her and her friends, killing them all.

The film, destined to be a cult classic for fans of the horror/teen slasher genre, features Johnny Depp's acting debut.
