| | A Cinderella StorySynopsis: This charming teenage adaptation of the classic fairytale is set in modern-day California. When her father dies in an earthquake, Sam Montgomery (Duff, The Perfect Man, Raise Your Voice) is left in the care of her cruel stepmother Fiona. Sam's stepsisters are up to no good as well, constantly conspiring to make life hell for her. Sam fares no better at school in the Valley. She is picked on by the popular girls, namely Shelby, who's got handsome football star Austin Ames (Murray, House Of Wax, One Tree Hill) as her boyfriend. Sam takes refuge from her dreary world in an internet chat room, and she strikes up a friendship with a seemingly understanding, poetic stranger in cyberspace. After communicating for some time, Sam agrees to meet up with her chat room buddy at their Halloween high school dance. Little does she know that it's none other than Austin who's her cyberpal. A fiasco at the dance however, has the mask-wearing Sam leaving her mobile phone behind by mistake, and an intrigued Austin is left trying to figure out Sam's real identity.
