Synopsis:

In this compelling and intriguingly-told drama, death brings together three disparate lives. Housewife Cristina Peck (Watts, Stay, I Heart Huckabees) suffers immensely from the deaths of her husband and two little daughters in a hit-and-run accident. Her depression leads her to a downward spiral back to her drug abuse days --- a past life that her marriage had rescued her from.

Math professor Paul Rivers (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Penn, The Interpreter, The Assassination Of Richard Nixon) is stuck in a loveless marriage with a woman who wants desperately to have a child. An illness leaves him in need of a heart transplant, and he knows only too well that without the operation, he will not live long to see his child born.

Jack Jordan (Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Del Toro, The Hunted, The Pledge) is a born-again ex-convict who has finally found the moral fiber to raise a family, but there are days when his past bedevils him, and one such day hammers home the reality that he cannot escape his past. One fateful day is all it takes to bring Cristina, Paul, and Jack together. And they will discover that the struggle to save their souls depends on each other.
